these sessions are being offered to refine teaching techniques through hands on assists whether you are currently teaching or exploring possible self-assists (*intrigued and experienced students).
in this environment, the benefits of reviewing and refining will enable one to develop a more confident and intuitive touch. the sessions will further reinforce assists that are intended to empower students and not make them reliant on the teacher.
this course calls upon mindful attention and intention of contact while embodying ease in its exploratory nature. assists are not intended to be “one size fits all”. you will learn how to respond in the moment supported and informed by your own continued practice. this approach will allow a more organic rate of comprehension. no pressure + lots of fun. most importantly, be present and be patient.
the first day will begin with a brief review of hands-on assists principles but will involve a practical segment soon after. the second day will begin with the 10:30am class and the opportunity to pair up with another participant to “test run” assists learned. the break will be used to have a light lunch while offering each other considered and considerate feedback. the afternoon session will be a review and a Q&A and then move into practical segment again. time permitting, an overview of the sequence may be covered on the sunday afternoon.
if applicable, please review notes from sangyé tt so that we can cover more actual assists swap during our time together. those who haven’t attended sys tt will be receive a copy in your registration email (dropped 2-3 days prior). the intention is to partner work in a purposeful yet joy-full exchange. suggestion: invite a fellow teacher if you prefer to work with a specific partner. there will be a max cap – small group setting.
